FAQs

What makes the Pitch Collective different from traditional agencies?

We've borrowed a little from the advertising production model; freelance teams allow us to bring in the ideal talent for each brief. At the same time, our aim is to remove many of the common pain points clients come across.

This means you'll work directly with experienced, proven creative experts (and bright new talent if that’s right for your brief) who stay with you from the first conversation to the final delivery. This creates better creative outcomes, more efficient processes, and a genuinely enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

How does the collective work in practice?

Our goal is to genuinely provide a new alternative to the traditional model (for many reasons) - but that’s our goal, not necessarily yours. So, from a client’s perspective, we operate as a traditional model, from estimates and billing to production capabilities - with direct access to creatives.

Each specialist in our collective takes personal ownership of their domain from the initial brief through to final delivery of their component. For example, when you work with our brand strategists, they'll develop your strategy, refine it based on your feedback, and guide its implementation. The same goes for our creative, design, and digital specialists.

While each specialist owns their domain completely, they collaborate closely throughout the process, ensuring all elements work together seamlessly rather than being developed in isolation.

Why are you called the Pitch Collective?

Our name was inspired by the traditional advertising pitch process, when agencies often hire experienced freelance creatives to work on the opportunity. Heavy hitters and big thinkers proven to deliver the winning idea, time and time again. Collective refers to our collaborative model that brings together these creative leaders (and new talent) who each own their domain completely throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Our name embodies our promise: we deliver pitch-quality creative thinking through genuine creative collaboration. We believe that premium creative thinking isn't about budget size, it's about removing inefficiencies and ensuring that every specialist truly owns their domain throughout the project. This is the Creative Ownership Model in action, and it's reflected in our name and everything we do.

Do you have a physical office?

No, part of our model’s success is taking full advantage of remote working and collective working spaces. While we generally work remotely, we’re in contact the whole time, and can happily meet at a time and place that works for you, or at a number of shared workspaces we use.

Do you handle production and implementation?

Yes. Depending on the project requirements, we either handle production directly or collaborate with trusted production partners from our network, however, we’re always on hand and your first point of contact.

That said, we’re equally happy to work with your preferred production partners, or let you look after the process. Whatever works for you, we’ll make work for us.

How much does it cost to work with the Pitch Collective?

Our pricing reflects the value of working directly with specialists who focus fully on your project, and the fact we generally work remotely (yet together). This direct approach often creates better value compared to more traditional structures.

We develop custom proposals based on your specific needs, scope, and timeline. This ensures you're getting exactly what you need and the right level of involvement for your particular challenge.

Do you require a minimum project size or retainer?

We don't have strict minimum requirements, as we prefer to evaluate each opportunity based on where we can add genuine value. Our approach works best for strategic and creative projects where quality of thinking makes a meaningful difference.

For ongoing needs, we offer flexible retainer arrangements that provide access to our specialists on a regular basis without committing to full-time resources.

Do you charge for initial consultations?

No, we’d much prefer to understand your needs and determine if we're the right fit for your project. This usually takes the form of a video call (or we can come to you) to discuss your challenges and explore potential approaches. (And if we’re not right, we’re happy to help you find the team that are).

We’re also happy to sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement before discussing sensitive business information. Just let us know in advance, and we can either sign your standard NDA or provide our own template.
